| WHY AMS? |
- Value Added Services
- Unique Benefits
1) |
AMS One-Call Consultation™ provides
outsourced medical leadership and smooth relationships with
clients with one phone call. This service is our proactive
approach to cost containment, providing you with education,
in-house clinical case management, the implementation and
compliance with best practice guidelines, as well as an intermediary
that can foster collaborative communication among various
healthcare providers and outside parties. Also included
in this service is AMS’ expert underwriting consultation
and cost projection analysis for complex medical patients. |
2) |
AMS Clinical Retro-Review™ program
is your low-risk way to look into the clinical past of a
claim. We identify any inaccuracies or potential problems
before it is pushed down the line. Provide AMS with comprehensive
clinical information of a suspect claim, and our team of
over 900 multi-specialty, nationwide physicians – The AMS
Multi-Specialty Physician Network™ - will
quickly and easily analyze potential problems with a claim
before the claim is adjudicated. This review can address
medical necessity concerns, experimental/investigational
issues, quality of care, accidental death assessments and
length of stay disputes. Our reports include an executive
summary with clinical conclusions and rationale. |
3) |
The Comprehensive Risk Assessment™ is
an all-inclusive analysis of the risk you, as the insurer,
will face when taking on certain employers groups. This
service takes a close look at the population of a group,
their medical and financial risk potential, and gives you,
the client, an accurate and fast assessment of whether
or not it is advantageous to take on such a group. AMS
is not only an expert in assessing risk, but also understanding
the nuances and details of clinical prognosis and its true
financial ramifications. |
4) |
AMS Instant Savings Potential™ is
our free quote system. You provide us with the information
regarding your claim, and we will quickly give you the
percentage you can save on any given claim. As
a part of the Instant Savings Potential™ quote system,
you also receive the AMS Doc5
Guaranteed Claim Reduction™, our no-cost
promise to you that our team can find even the most well
hidden inaccuracies or inflations in your financial review. If
you provide us with (5) documents, we can tell you, in
percentages, how much your bill is inflated, before you
spend one dollar with us. In our experience, we have
found that nearly 90% of all hospital bills are inflated
to some degree. |
5) |
With our Negotiator Program™, you
don’t have to haggle with inpatient facilities or with
attending physicians for their fees. AMS will directly
negotiate with any and all parties to significantly decrease
your claim costs. At present, we are at an average
of 25% decreases, and are always working to save even more
for our clients through tough negotiation backed by financial
and clinical expertise. |
6) |
AMS Trigger Point Consultation™ provides
you and your company/clients a set of guidelines for examining
and flagging out-of-whack claims. An AMS professional
will come to you and work with your internal team to analyze
your population’s financial and medical records to
determine appropriate trigger points for your specific
group. This takes the pain out of not knowing when
to look at a claim or not. AMS will work with your
team quarterly to update and review these guidelines, and
make adjustments as needed. |
1) |
AMS Rapid Response™ ensures
quick and easy access to our trained clinical and financial
expertise. If you have a question or concern regarding
a catastrophic claim or underwriting issue, our dedicated
staff will typically be able to have a response to you
within (3) three hours of your call. |
2) |
AMS Personal Connection™, our
guarantee that you will never be a number to us. Nearly
all of our clients deal directly with our founder, Dr.
Stacy Borans, and believe it or not, she actually answers
her own calls. How’s that for progressive
healthcare management? |
3) |
AMS Expert Guarantee™ is our unwavering
faith in our clinical and financial expertise. We will
personally support our recommendations to any and all parties
if they are ever challenged or questioned. AMS consists
of physicians and financial professionals whose only business
is the cost containment of unnecessary charges related to
catastrophic care, and that is why we can offer this guarantee. We
are experts and will base our recommendations in the facts
as we see them. You should have that confidence too. |
4) |
AMS Nexus Philosophy™ is our unique
perspective on curtailing and reforming the costs of healthcare. Born
from the vision of AMS founder Dr. Stacy Borans, our Nexus
Philosophy is where clinical expertise, financial understanding
and cost containment insight meet to provide the highest
level of care at its most efficient and effective price. We
not only look at the claim in dispute, but also its context. Will
this be worth breaking a business relationship? Will
this be a bigger political battle than it’s worth? AMS
will personally consult with you and your team to determine
the true cost of a claim, in clinical, financial and political
capital, to give you the most accurate picture of your risk
potential. Only a company with the level of depth and
experience in both the clinical and financial fields could
provide such a holistic look at your catastrophic claim reduction. |
5) |
AMS Ask Dr. Stacy Resource Library™ is
a robust and interactive learning center, hosted on our website,
for insurance and clinical professionals alike. It
contains the latest news in medicine, insurance and cost-containment
strategies, numerous case studies that can help you determine
if your catastrophic claims need to be looked at a bit closer,
and information on the many educational seminars, webinars
and podcasts produced by AMS around the relevant issues facing
doctors, insurance professionals and employers. Our
goal is to provide you with the tools that will help you
proactively manage your healthcare costs. It is our
way of sharing the lessons we have learned in an effort to
create a more effective and efficient healthcare system. |
